If you’re already using Qualified multi-language feature or have marketing sites that target visitors with native languages other than English (Qualified's default language), most likely you’ll also want to allow calls to and from international visitors.
Depending on where your visitor is located, you might need to use an international calling prefix, add an extra digit, or use different formatting. Qualified will help do all of that for you.
In this article, we’ll show you how to set up your experiences to allow international visitors to enter their phone number in their international phone number format.
Getting Started
To get started, you’ll want to open up an experience you’ve created for your international visitors or those whose native language is not English. If you’ve yet to create one, see our article on creating multi-language experiences for your marketing sites.
Once you have that experience open, you’ll want to edit any phone fields you might have in place. Select the corresponding country code for the language you are presenting to your visitors. For example, if you’re creating an experience for your Spanish speaking visitors you might need to select the phone number formatting for Mexico.
The current country codes Qualified offers are:
- United States
- Australia
- Brazil
- Canada
- France
- Japan
- India
- Iceland
- Iran
- Denmark
- United Kingdom
- Netherlands
- Sweden
- Italy
- Spain
- Switzerland
- Austria
- Germany
- Singapore
- Peru
- Mexico
Once you've selected your country of choice, you'll notice the formatting change on the left-hand side to reflect the formatting of that country. Save your experience to save these changes.

Setting a Default
If your company is located outside of the United States (Qualified's default country), you might also want to set a default on all experiences to fall back to. To do this, contact your Qualified Success Architect or our technical support team to change your default country.
Summary
If you have multiple marketing sites targeting different languages, it's important to also make sure your visitors in different countries can also access and enter their information in Qualified without hiccups.
Depending on where your visitor is located you might need to use an international calling prefix, add an extra digit, or use different formatting. Selecting the country code in your experience will allow Qualified to do the work for you and format the phone field into the country formatting of your visitors automatically.
