There are two ways to implement Qualified Signals. The fastest method includes downloading the Signals unmanaged package, but it’s not required.
Getting Started
To install Qualified Signals, start by connecting with your Qualified Success Architect. Once they add Signals to your Qualified org, click the Settings icon and you’ll see Signals in the left panel. Then confirm that all of these steps are complete:
- Install the Qualified JavaScript to your website.
- Connect Qualified to your Salesforce org.
- Connect and enable Clearbit Reveal from your Qualified admin account. (Signals requires Clearbit Reveal, which is different from Clearbit Enrichment.) If it’s not present, reach out to your Qualified Success Architect.
Create Salesforce Fields
Qualified Signals requires new Salesforce fields, and there are two methods to create them.
You can download our Signals unmanaged package, which will automatically include eleven Salesforce fields. After you install it, make sure to click Update Fields from your Qualified admin account. This ensures that your Qualified instance recognizes the new Signals fields in Salesforce.
Alternatively, manually create these custom fields in Salesforce:
Signals Field | Data Type |
---|---|
Qualified Signals Engagement Score | Number |
Qualified Signals Engagement Intent | Text |
Qualified Signals Engagement Trend | Text |
Qualified Signals Research Score | Number |
Qualified Signals Research Intent | Text |
Qualified Signals Visitor Count | Number |
Qualified Signals Session Count | Number |
Qualified Signals Active Session Time | Number |
Qualified Signals Meetings Booked Count | Number |
Qualified Signals Rep Conversation Count | Number |
Qualified Signals Bot Conversation Count | Number |
You also need a Days Since Last Activity field with the number data type. If your org doesn't already have one, follow these steps to create it.
Days Since Last Activity is a formula field that calculates (TODAY()- LastActivityDate). It may show a negative number depending on your Salesforce instance and if you track scheduled activities that have not happened yet in Salesforce. You can create a filter within Salesforce to remove those values.
Customize Your Salesforce User's Permissions
Update your Qualified integration user by checking API Enabled and granting these permissions:
Object | Read | Create | Edit |
---|---|---|---|
Accounts | X | X | X |
Campaigns | X | X | |
Contacts | X | X | |
Leads | X | X | |
Opportunities | X |
If you already implemented Qualified Conversations and are now expanding to Qualified Signals, update the same integration user’s permissions to add Create and Edit access on Accounts.
Bring Your Signals Data into Salesforce
To enrich your Salesforce accounts with Signals data:
- Map your Signals data to your new Salesforce fields.
- (Optional) If you want to include the new Signals fields on your Account Page Layout, add your Signals Visualforce page code.
Configure Signals Settings in Qualified
To customize Signals to match your go-to-market strategy:
- Specify which website pages suggest high and low-buyer intent.
- Choose your Research Intent topics.
- Build your Signals account lists.
Create Reports & Dashboards
Build the reports and dashboards you want in Salesforce. For a quick start, the Signals unmanaged package includes four reports and a dashboard. You can also create custom reports and dashboards without the unmanaged package.
