Qualified Achieves SOC2 Type II Certification

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., October 9, 2020 -- Today, Qualified announced it achieved SOC2 Type II Certification. SOC 2 was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”), and SOC 2 audits provide an industry-wide recognition that companies conform to the standard, which measures security and availability. This serves as assurance that data is being managed in a controlled and audited environment, capturing how a company safeguards customer data and how well those controls are operating. SOC 2 Type I involves taking a picture of your controls at a point in time by a third party auditor. SOC 2 Type II is more rigorous, and involves measuring and monitoring your operating controls over an extended period of time.

"Customer trust is the #1 value at Qualified," said Sean Whiteley, co-founder of Qualified. "This includes not only how we build software and secure customer data, but also includes being transparent into how we do it, our internal process and controls, and how all of the data we manage is used and stored."
