Qualified raises $51M Series B led by Salesforce Ventures

Today we're excited to announce that Qualified has raised $51M in Series B funding led by Salesforce Ventures. The news was originally covered in TechCrunch. This moment solidifies the importance of conversational sales and marketing to the future of B2B selling, and it paves the way for an incredible future of innovation and growth.

I want to start by saying thank you to our customers. We wouldn’t have reached this milestone without you. We now have an even greater opportunity to serve you, to bring you more innovation, additional services, an expanded product portfolio, and even deeper ties into your Salesforce CRM platform. We’re so excited to be on this journey together.

Qualified and Salesforce: Partners through and through

We’ve always been attached at the hip with Salesforce: Qualified was purpose-built for Salesforce customers, founded by Salesforce alumni, and we’ve had a handful of Salesforce executives recently join the family with Dan Darcy coming on board as our Chief Customer Officer and Salesforce CMO Sarah Franklin joining as a Board of Directors Observer. As we look to our next chapter, there’s no better partner than Salesforce Ventures to help us accelerate Qualified’s growth and bring our solution to Salesforce customers around the world.

“Qualified represents an entirely new way for B2B companies to engage buyers,” said Bill Patterson, EVP of CRM Applications at Salesforce. “When marketing and inbound sales teams use this solution with Sales Cloud, the #1 growth platform for sales, they see a notable impact on pipeline. We are thrilled about our growing partnership with Qualified and their success within the Salesforce ecosystem.”

The website is the new place for sales conversations

There’s no doubt about it: Virtual selling is here to stay. By 2025, Gartner expects 80% of B2B sales interactions to occur in digital channels. As companies doubled down on digital engagements this past year, they realized the untapped potential of their biggest digital channel — the corporate website.

With Qualified’s conversational sales and marketing platform, companies can take full advantage of this channel by having real-time conversations with their most important buyers using live chat, voice-calls, and chatbots — right on the website. When paired with Salesforce, magic happens. Businesses can zero in on their most important accounts and opportunities, and generate material sales pipeline.

This year we learned that conversational sales and marketing is no longer a ‘nice to have.’ It’s mission critical for fast-growing businesses, and table stakes for modern buyers. The world’s top CMOs and demand gen leaders are turning to Qualified as a new way to meet with their most important buyers the moment they arrive on the website. It’s been incredible to watch our customers launch conversational programs and quickly achieve massive ROI: Within months of go-live, OwnBackup generated over $6 million in pipeline, Gamma generated over $13 million in pipeline, and Bitly reported a 6X increase in pipeline. Incredible.

A look back at the past year

It’s been a phenomenal year of growth and success. Since our Series A funding in August 2020, we have:

  • Closed a record-breaking fiscal year with 800% revenue growth
  • Recorded an unprecedented 175% net customer revenue retention rate
  • Seen industry leaders like Adobe, Matterport, Poly, SurveyMonkey, Talend, Tech Data and VMware join our growing roster of enterprise customers
  • Announced new and expanded partnerships with Salesforce, as well as Slack, Microsoft Teams, 6sense, Demandbase, Marketo, HubSpot, Oracle Eloqua, Clearbit, ZoomInfo and Outreach
  • Been recognized by San Francisco Business Times as the #1 Best Place to Work
  • Launched the tenth major version of our platform with Qualified X (Check it out ⏬)
