Today I’m excited to announce that a powerhouse Salesforce executive is joining the Qualified family. After an incredible 18-year run at Salesforce, Robert Zimmermann is joining the Qualified leadership team as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). This welcomed addition comes on the heels of Qualified’s recent $51m Series B funding announcement; there’s no better leader to help usher in our next chapter, scale our sales organization, and bring the value of Qualified to Salesforce customers around the world.
When it comes to his time at Salesforce, Robert has an incredible story. He joined Salesforce in 2000 as employee number 60, and was one of the first sales professionals to walk the halls of Salesforce’s first office in downtown San Francisco.
During his tenure at Salesforce, Robert held a wide array of sales leadership positions. He began his journey as a VP of Sales and was part of the initial selling team that acquired Salesforce’s first set of customers. During his 18-year career at Salesforce he served as a Senior Vice President leading key product sales teams like Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud and the Salesforce Platform. He was also instrumental in expanding Salesforce worldwide into Asia Pacific, built the Financial Services Industry sales team from the ground up, and pioneered new sales organizational structures to supercharge target account selling with Enterprise Corporate Sales.
Robert was instrumental to Salesforce’s tremendous growth. During his time at the software powerhouse the company grew from pre-revenue to over $13B in revenue, 60 employees to 60,000+ employees, single-product to multi-product revenue lines, and from a single US-based sales team to a global distribution army. What a ride!
Whatever challenge Robert was given, he tackled it head on. He literally wrote the playbook for sales at Salesforce–a playbook that laid the foundation for one of the fastest growing and most successful technology companies in the world.
In his role as Qualified CRO, Robert will oversee our global sales organization. Qualified's current CRO Eric Sikola has been promoted to President and COO, and together they will help propel Qualified into our next phase of growth.
Robert brings a deep understanding of enterprise business processes and a wealth of experience scaling sales organizations. On top of it all, Robert brings a passion for software that connects companies and customers, better and faster than ever before.
